Contact encryption
Not checkedEvery customer's name, email and phone is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, under a key held in Netlify rather than in the database. Contacts saved before that was switched on are encrypted here. Check reads every contact and changes nothing. Encrypt then does the rest in batches and proves each one decrypts to its original. Verify records the clean pass that the step 2 SQL file needs before it removes the plaintext.
